Constantin Weisz and a Lamborghini Espada. A truly masterful combination.

Dear friends of mechanical watches,

dear customers,

when I bought my Lamborghini Espada in 2018, I had no idea how long and intense this "journey" would be. A car like a work of art. Designed by Marcello Gandini in 1968, it is one of the absolute icons of automotive engineering. Never before and never since has a car like this been built. A gentleman's express in a class of its own. The car cost around 20,000 US dollars in 1971, which was equivalent to the value of a beautiful detached house and more expensive than a Rolls Royce Silver Shadow! Many famous personalities owned a Lamborghini Espada at the time. Paul McCartney owned an orange-coloured model, which is known to have rolled into a pond. Jay Leno owns two. It is said that there are only 250 cars left on the roads worldwide.

At the beginning of the year, I decided to make some improvements to my car. I replaced the bonnet (9,000 USD!!), which had been damaged in a minor accident, and commissioned a new interior. This was original but not salvageable. The seats of the Espada have a very typical perforated pattern. So it made sense to procure the original leather and add this beautiful perforated pattern. Just as it left the factory 50 years ago. It was precisely this interior design that inspired me to breathe new life into these pieces.

So I developed a watch that is made from the body parts of the Espada and whose strap is made from exactly the same leather and pattern that my Espada will wear in the future.

And what could be more obvious than to use a "bullhead case" (the Lamborghini logo is a bull) and equip it with a sporty and special movement. A chronograph movement with a difference. The CH 1084 is undoubtedly the most elaborate chronograph movement of our company. It has 41 jewels, 28,800 vibrations per hour and consists of around 300 individual parts. The "Espada Bullhead" has a limited edition of only 19 pieces worldwide. So don't wait too long.

You can buy this watch today from 9:00 pm (ct) at ShopHQ, when it will once again be called "Constantin Weisz Timepieces" with the wonderfull Hannah Timm.
