Dear friends of mechanical watches,
When we became the first watch brand in the world to showcase an orbital tourbillon on television in 2011, little did we know that we had caught the attention of a very special person.
Burt Reynolds, yes, the Burt Reynolds! The star of dozens of Hollywood movies, such as "Smokey and the Bandit" or "The Cannonball Run"!
Reynolds actually bought one of our limited models, the T14CW with the 769/999 limitation, through a customer in the USA and wore it until his death in 2018.
Today, around 12 years later, we are proud to present the successor to this unique watch model:
The Constantin Weisz T31CW in blued stainless steel with a '70s' screaming design and the 'Darth Vader' helmet-like case with a stainless steel fishbone strap.
And is it a real tourbillon?
According to Abraham Louis Breguet's classic patent, no. But is the criterion a device in which the oscillating and escapement system of a mechanical watch rotates around its own axis in order to achieve a rate accuracy that is less dependent on position, absolutely!!
Now one can argue about the sense of such a system in a wristwatch, it is always an eye-catcher.
On 13.09.2023 from 6 p.m. (ct) we present you this highlight that can hardly be more exclusive.
If you want to find out more about this watch or the Constantin Weisz range, I look forward to your visit.
And so that you don't miss any of our highlights again, it's best to save ShopHQ in one of your front slots.
